hahuang65 Posted Wednesday at 07:31 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:31 PM I've started printing a bunch of parts for the Caterham, particularly useful is this cheapo tray. It mounts directly against the firewall using 3M double sided DualLock, similar to how the fusebox cover is mounted. It perfectly holds my phone and wallet and has a cutout for the wiring harness. I've also got a wall mounted door hanger and a wall mounted windshield hanger designed (but not yet mounted). It's not clear from the render for the windshield hanger, but you're meant to print 2 of them, mount them spaced by your windshield length and hang your windshield by the triangular cutouts on the stanchions, with the front facing the wall so it's a flush setup with minimal protrusion from the wall. If you're interested feel free to print them. They're at https://github.com/hahuang65/3d-prints 3 1
Vovchandr Posted Wednesday at 11:19 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:19 PM I'm still waiting for somebody to do tilett hole cup holder. These look great! 1
hahuang65 Posted Wednesday at 11:22 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 11:22 PM @Vovchandr what do you mean by "tillet hole cup holder"? Maybe I'll take it on!
JohnCh Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM Looks great @hahuang65 I'm moving this thread into the 3D printing forum to keep posts on that subject together. 1

I envision something that can use the hole as a base and be a cupholder. Over the years I've struggled to find any good spot for this mission and this seemed pretty straightforward.
Origin7 Posted yesterday at 10:57 AM Posted yesterday at 10:57 AM @Vovchandr That's a great idea. Another reason for me to get Tillet seats. I'd do this, but without the seat, it would be tough to match the geometry. I'll ask Tillet if they can send me a 3D model of this seat. It's probably a long shot.
Origin7 Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM @hahuang65 Nice work! This area is ripe with possibilities. I just did a gauge holder for my AFR gauge. I am not sure about the newer 7s, but on the older ones, you can hook underneath the tunnel cover to hold things securely without fasteners. 1
jordway Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Nice! Does anyone happen to have a stl file to print the ring that covers the dash dials? I'm missing the one for my temp gauge. Not a big deal, but I've always thought I'd print one. Just never got around to it.

It's still a good idea that I may pursue for myself, but I'm afraid I can't really test-fit one for a triangular shaped hole.

Takes me back to when McDonald's got sued for hot coffee that spilled in a ladies crotch...
panamericano Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago With the drink in your crotch, it won't stay cold for long, but may be a temporary relief on a hot day. 90 at 10:00 AM, high 101.

I’ve seen many USA7s track days, there’s plenty of room to accommodate many drinks based on the driving I’ve seen.
