  1. You may want to try the CAR TALK mechanics files link... http://www.cartalk.com/mechanics-files
  2. A Jaguar SUV!!! http://www.jaguarusa.com/all-models/f-pace/index.html
  3. Smaller, to increase the PSI to the calipers.
  4. 7's just ain't for everyone. You need to have some cracks in your head to drive one and abandon ideas of practicality.
  5. Exomotive is a small but efficient operation. They weld up laser cut tubes that are self-fixturing and have the assemblies power coated. The molded parts are outsourced to a local but well known racer who pioneered the HANS device. They have shipped over 200 chassis. They will be at Carlisie Import & Performance Nationals May 20-22.
  6. Exomotive is located in Atlanta and on their website there was something about "contact us about visiting". So I did. I'll be checking them out Friday. http://exomotive.com/
  7. How many sheets of plywood will it carry?
  8. I would guess anyone that drops $150k on it will make display it as a piece of art. Not any different than many super cars that disappear only to be garage bling.
  9. I wish I had the skill to use all those tools.
  10. You think you have lived to be 80 plus and know who you are, then along comes someone and blows it all up.____________________________________________________________ An old Marine Pilot sat down at the Starbucks, still wearing his old USMC flight jacket and ordered a cup of coffee. As he sat sipping his coffee, a young woman sat down next to him. She turned to the pilot and asked, Are you a real pilot? He replied, 'Well, I've spent my whole life flying planes, first Stearmans, then the early Grummans... flew a Wildcat and Corsair in WWII, and later in the Korean conflict, Banshees and Cougars. I've taught more than 260 people to fly and given rides to hundreds, so I guess I am a pilot, and you, what are you? She said, 'I'm a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about naked women. As soon as I get up in the morning, I think about naked women. When I shower, I think about naked women. When I watch TV, I think about naked women. It seems everything makes me think of naked women.' The two sat sipping in silence. A little while later, a young man sat down on the other side of the old pilot and asked: "Are you a real pilot?" He replied, 'I always thought I was, but I just found out I'm a lesbian.'
  11. Craig, Put my name down on the springs and shocks. Carl Please confirm they will fit my Cat.
  12. I have read in a manufactures information on belts that 2" belts are recommended up to a very high rate of speed. You would need 3" when you approach the sound barrier. :auto:
  13. Skip, He told me the maker of the kit, but I didn't recognize or remember it. This may give someone a hint. Dave, Mine has red clams and bare alloy skin.
  14. I drove my 7 to Road ATL for the Mitty and here is the m'cycle powered 7 I saw there. I talked with the owner but didn't ask if he was a member. He imported the kit in 2001 and believes it is the only one stateside.
  15. It's unfortunate you dad didn't get much seat time, but I'm sure he did enjoy the miles and smiles he did have. I hope there is someone lurking around here that would really love to enjoy this car. It looks like a lot of good stuff to play with. Best of luck. Carl
  16. Skip, Crappy electrical connections were the problem. Voltage to the coil was dropping as RPM increased, 7v @4k and 3v @5k. My mechanic cleaned up the connections and it revs great.
  17. What does a dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac do? He stays up all night and ponders the question, "Is there a dog".
  18. Note: O-rings can be found in many rubber compounds. Look for materials that are oil & fuel resistant/compatible.
  19. I'll take one in red. Where do I sign up?
  20. All I can offer is GOOD LUCK! Hang in there and look for sunshine.
  21. Who would be crazy enough to talk a bunch of drivers into trying it. This is beyond "hold my beer"
  22. The Red Light is giving me a message but I'm not sure what is wrong. Since I installed a new alternator the red light stays off at idle but, now it flickers at the same RPM as the engine stumble that has started. Between 4 and 5k the motor goes flat and I happen to look at the light and it was flickering. ??????? I'm thinking about putting a volt meter somewhere to look for voltage drop but it's a guess.
