At the risk of hi-jacking, I have a question.
I have the original bench seat configuration and 4 point belts. I am somewhat concerned about the lap belts not staying in place and riding up. Is this acceptable for track use?
Did anyone else think it looked weird that Mike (Wheeler Dealer) was driving a 7 with the 4 point belt latch almost on his chest?
Try Burtonpower.com for hoses. I got a complete set* of silicone hoses that were specific to my car. They aren't items you can get from a local parts house.
* a "complete set" was an upper and lower radiator hoses and a length of heater hose, But it fit!

This car at the bottom of the list looks +30 years newer and more S3 than S1
The Lane Motor Museum in Nashville has several, at least one is usually on display. Usually the cars are look but don't touch, but you could ask. The ones I have seen are original 7 size.
I have a set of Brooklands for my Cat. The first time I tried to mount them, the bracket they are mounted on crosses the scuttle on top of the windshield wiper shafts. Not sure how to address the interference.
Georgia #7, hmmm. It takes an hour to get across Atlanta on a good day. At least I'm on the north side and can escape to the northern boondocks for 2 lane enjoyment.
Welcome to the forum! I can not offer any help with your motor but pictures would be nice to see.
I'm sure someone else will reply with part number suggestions.
PS What is the story that your car has to tell.
Enjoy the driving.
I've done a minor seat position adjustment to my bench seat. I have a couple of short 1x4's placed between the seat back and the rear bulkhead at the floor. This moves the lower seating position a little closer. The previous owner showed me this tweek, he used 2x4's since he is a few inches shorter than me.
This trick might be useful for you but not your wife.
Anyone know what Caterham seats are going for these days?
It sounds like a signal issue not really a voltage problem. In certain connection configurations the ECU outputs make the motor run, but with an additional connection/input to the ECU stops outputting enough signals for operation.
Well it's my SWAG, keep trying.
I took alternator to a rebuilder and he had a direct replacement. He said it was a common part to other Lotus models. I'll look to see if I can find some more helpful info.
I agree with painting as many surfaces white as possible. The walls in my lift bay were primed white and then painted antique white. I'd like a do-over on that decision.
Also, epoxy paint on the floor will help with clean-up.
edit... antique white killed the illumination, plain white makes the lighting work better.
I'm sure some more details would generate some conversation.
Where has it been sitting, barn or garage, Florida or Minnesota. Also post some photos would be helpful.
