    As a retired individual my time commitments are flexible and I have taken up BaT watching (Bring a Trailer). It's interesting to watch the last minute bidding along with the commentary, sometimes more like the "peanut gallery". So, any particular car/truck/motorcycle have anyone sold that they wish they still had to sell now and really cash in? :auto: :smash: :banghead:

    I've used Castrol GTX 10w-40 and/or oil recomended for diesel motors which have zinc additives. In my application, having the proper oil level is important. The motor leaks some. I'm a goldylocks driver, as long as its not too hot or not too cold I'll take the car out, and its kept inside a conditioned garage. So the oil isn't getting much of a workout.

    Just some minor fettling. I am in the process of replacing the intake gasket and noticed one of the dizzy cap retaining clips was missing. So, where do I find a clip for a Lucas?

    I aquired a set of Brooklands a few years ago and discovered the wiper interference issue. The alternative I have thought about is to reinforce the scuttle under the area where the windscreen is and mount the individual screens. When switching back to a full windscreen the mounting holes would be covered by the windscreen gasket.

    I've experience the carb spitting and such. I had to clean up the right side clam after running the car w/o airfilters. I've since put them back on, but they sure sound great unrestricted. I figured the spitting had to do with the overlap between intake and exhaust valve timing.

    Torque values on oil pan bolts are low due to their small dia. and oil pans are generally thinner gauge metal. I'm not familiar with dry-sumps as far as construction.
