JohnCh Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM Breaking the rules here since (1) I didn't take the photo today and (2) it's my old car, now under @3739Davis's stewardship, but this picture landed in today's OneDrive "Memories from this day" email and it made me smile as I reminisced about the trip. This was taken in the hotel parking lot in Winthrop, WA on the way back from Monterey Car Week 2010. After the festivities concluded in CA, we headed north via back roads for 5 days until Winthrop, after which @Alaskossie continued on to AK in his recently acquired SV (Denver to Anchorage via LA and Monterey), while @Hudson and I headed south to my home in the Seattle area. Monterey was great, but the road trip was better. -John 9 2

This is why I rarely take the bonnet off. Only twice at shows and twice to do road side repairs. Below is a photo of the time the clutch cable came lose and we did a zip tie repair to hold the cable into the clutch arm. We were on our way to Brits on the Lake in Port Perry. The second photo is showing the 1st and 2nd in class winners side by side at Brits in the Park Lindsay 2024. The third is me relaxing at the local fair car show this year. 2 1
demoray Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM Sigh. Fuel pump woes at my first autocross with the 7. At least I'm within the Hagerty Drivers Club included flat bed towing range. 1 2

I found the most recent CSR fuel pump thread, as well as some of your previous posts that have additional information. I'll be ordering a replacement in the morning. 1

We made it about 6 miles down the road and it died from fuel starvation. Then a couple of weeks later (after it was supposedly fixed) on her second ever drive. It started fine in the garage but after we drove about 5 miles and stopped to fill up with gas it would not restart. The shop tried a new fuel pump but it produced too much pressure so put the original back on. They rebuilt the original Stromberg carb twice with no joy. She decided to go with a new Weber downdraft. It worked but wouldn’t idle and wanted to stall unless you blipped the throttle. I finally got out the tools and it took me about 5 minutes to have it idling smoothly at around 900-950. A little high but at that rpm the engine doesn’t shake and want to stall any more. Edited yesterday at 03:13 AM by theDreamer 1

Fuel problems seem solved on that CSR. Still have not found a pump setup for the new tank on 74PHIL.
mccasksl Posted yesterday at 05:32 PM Posted yesterday at 05:32 PM Well pictures from a couple days ago, a shake down run thru the hill country with the Lotus Owners of Texas. It was nice to get the S3 back on the road after a lengthy brake and suspension refresh; some 250 miles on the day testing the limits of car and passenger on a beautiful but oppressively hot day. Car ran very well. Coolant temp generally behaved holding 80-85C but quickly hit 95-100C+ in stalled traffic or with aggressive pulls. Oil pressure 2 bars at idle but 6 bars underway (Mobil 1 15W-50). Driver and passenger were envious of the Lotuses (Loti?) all having air conditioning. Cheers! Steve 4 1

williamwashere Posted yesterday at 06:11 PM Posted yesterday at 06:11 PM That looks like it was great. With an unlimited budget, an Emira looks like a great car to have. Yours looked the best though! 1 2
