  1. If you don't have an amp meter installed, you could temporarily install one to monitor operation.
  2. Their number may include black & white striped attire in the future...
  3. I was having similar issues. One thing you can do is take the fan switch out and test it with a VOM and a pan of water on the stove. The one on my car would close at 85C.
  4. +1 on pulling the engine. It gives you a chance to look at other items that may need attention such as clutch, motor mounts etc.
  5. I've been spending too much time on BaT, I keep looking for the "thumbs up" button.:smilielol5:
  6. Someone before me installed a cut-off switch like the one in the picture in the previous post on the firewall in the passenger side footwell. I'll get a photo of it and post.
  7. The GA title on my Cat. MAKE CATERHAM MODEL SEVEN It was previously titled in Kansas MAKE CATE
  8. Hey Jimmy, I've got a cross flow with clams and could meet you at an area park. It would be later in the month due to scheduling stuff. Too bad the British Car Fayre is cancelled for this year, but quite understandable.
  9. Or you could not use it at all and reduce weight. :leaving:
  10. The Hemmings listed car does have one feature that may indicate it was a S2 originally. The dash does not have the corner bracing I associate with the S3, also is there any research into the VIN? FWIW
  11. One of my carbs will slobber some, I ran the car W/O the K&Ns and the clam on that side needed clean-up after a blat. That may have something to do with the amount of overlap between intake and exhaust. I've put the filters back on, but it did sound good unfiltered.
  12. +1 on the color coordination
  13. I usually have someone asking about my 7 when I stop for gas. These are fun cars and the make people smile (besides the driver). Also, Clams!!!
  14. Sounds like it's time for a pair of skinny driving shoes. As to parts inventory and missing stuff, Caterham has been doing this for a few years, one would think they would have it figured out by now. :banghead: Also, Have a Blast!
  15. Lately, Tesla motors are the hot ticket for conversions. There's a shop in Cal. that has a bolt in cradle for some 911's.
  16. Other than the R/C 7, has anyone dared to convert a 7 to battery power only?
  17. +1 for John's comment
  18. Let's hope they are candidates for Jay Leno's "Stupid Criminals" award.
  19. OK guys, what are the two like bodied cars in Bob's last photo. I'm guessing they are from the 1950's and have 'Merican iron power, beyond that???
  20. pksurveyor, you give a whole new meaning to being "cat" people.
